Kuwait will soon be home to an immersive hotel experience within the desert landscape. Jasper Architects recently won a competition and has been chosen to design the immersive hotel experience which features a curved structure that echoes the surrounding dunes.
The project aims to recreate an oasis, wherein visitors get to fully observe the natural environment. Given the colors, textures, use of wood and rammed earth, the concept emulates the surrounding.
Emphasizing on the local topography, a circular roof rises and then touches the ground, which creates a range of alternation exterior and interior spaces.
The materials and color pallete used in the project seem like they camouflage the structure within the surrounding dunes. Every touchpoint of the roof creates access on top, which reveal another layer of common areas.
The gathering spaces and more public functions are located towards the centre of the structure, where an opening in the undulating roof makes room for a swimming pool.
Every suite is directly connected to the landscape and the interior design emphasizes the desert theme.
The Berlin-based Jasper Architects have their work spanning various scales and programs, ranging from urban planning to office buildings to private residences and interior designs.
