Kuwaitis permitted entry to France from 9th June, subject to conditions

07 June 2021

The French Embassy in Kuwait clarified that Kuwait has been placed in the ‘orange’ (amber) list of countries.

The embassy clarified that those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 pandemic will be allowed to enter France from 9th June 2021, provided, they submit a negative PCR test issued 72 hours prior to travel, or a genetic test issued 48 hours before travel.

Meanwhile, those who are not vaccinated, but wish to travel to France for a compelling reason, will have to remain on a 7-day quarantine period, in addition to the previous condition. Further, they may be subject to ‘conditions’ upon their arrival in France.

The French Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Anne-Claire Legendre, has called for a press conference tomorrow at the embassy to clarify the latest travel developments to her country, including issuance of visas, and development of ties between the two nations, regional and international issues.
