Entry into cafes, shops, gyms & malls allowed only for those vaccinated

27 June 2021

Starting 27th June, only those who have completed at least one dose of vaccination will be allowed into cafes, restaurants, gyms, shops and malls larger than 6000 sqm.

The field teams will be placed at all entry points in malls larger than 6000sqm to ensure that only vaccinated residents enter.

This decision follows the surge in Covid-19 cases in Kuwait. Last week, the Health Ministry announced that they detected several cases of Delta variant.

Earlier this week, Kuwait completed vaccinating all those who were awaiting the second dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, which was about 180,000 residents and nationals.

To further ramp up its vaccination efforts, the Health Ministry launched the fourth mobile vaccination drive aimed at vaccinating fuel station, transportation workers and security.
