Kuwait permits re-opening of car repair shops, gas stations

The Minister of State for Municipal Affairs in Kuwait, Waleed Al-Jaseem said that car repair shops affiliated to cooperative societies and in gas stations would reopen in all areas nationwide. The decision also includes repair shops in Abdaly, Kabd and Wafra.

The decision to reopen is in compliance with government’s approval of reopening of some car businesses that were closed due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

During an extraordinary session on Monday, the Cabinet tasked Kuwait Municipality to permit resumption of activities pertaining to repair of cars and trade in auto spare parts.
