17 September 2020

Further intensifying its campaigns on commercial complexes and shops to monitor the commitment of workers, the follow-up Committee emphasized for implementation of health requirements to combat the spread of the Coronavirus, enforcing the need to continue wearing masks and gloves.

Kuwait is entering the fourth stage of returning to normalcy, and the Committee has detected over 2000 violations in the six governorates in which neither the workers nor the customers were wearing masks or following the health requirements.

The Committee implemented violations, which include KD100 fine or shutting down of shops for failing to follow health measures.

The Committee recorded 350 violations wherein there was non-compliance with regard to health requirements and masks in Farwaniya, and about 20 violations were recorded in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, 15 in Al-Jahra and 10 in Hawali.
