The Human Resources Committee concluded its meeting yesterday, finalizing two proposals for laws about employment in the private oil sector. The committee reached a consensus in collaboration with representatives from the oil sector, its subsidiaries, and the Union of Workers in the Private Oil Sector.

MP Fares Al-Otaibi, the head of the committee, made a statement at the National Assembly’s media center, announcing the unanimous approval of the proposed law.

He emphasized that the approved law plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the rights of Kuwaiti workers and enhancing job security within the private oil sector. He asserted that the legal framework would serve as a protective measure for workers’ rights.

Al-Otaibi expressed gratitude to the government, the oil sector, and its subsidiaries for endorsing the law, extending congratulations to the workers in the private oil sector for the successful culmination of this legislative effort.

The committee head conveyed his appreciation to the government, the Oil Sector Board of Directors, and the head of the Private Oil Sector Syndicate for their cooperation in endorsing the law within the committee. He also acknowledged the Syndicate’s leader for their efforts and communication with members of the National Assembly throughout the legislative process.
