Judicial officers at the Center for Occupational Safety in the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) continue to inspect government and private project sites to ensure strict compliance with the ban on working under the direct heat of the sun within the specified hours during summer, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a reliable source.

The source confirmed that the percentage of compliance this year is higher than the previous years, stating that the judicial officers conduct daily inspection in private housing construction projects in Mutlaa, South Abdullah Al- Mubarak, West Abdullah Al-Mubarak and South Khaitan; in addition to the residential complex construction sites in other parts of the country.

The judicial officers also receive reports about violations committed by contractors and workers, if any.

The performance report of the inspection teams will be released monthly by the Public Relations and Media Department at PAM. He also clarified that the delivery workers are covered by the ban; indicating these workers should also comply with the specified clothing for driving motorcycles including the need to wear a helmet.

He said it is not advisable for delivery workers to go out during the specified period due to the scorching heat of summer. As for the workers at the fuel filling stations, the source mentioned that working under the shade is not covered by the ban, as they don't work under direct heat of the sun.
