Kuwait Education Ministry to terminate expat teachers

The Ministry of Education is all set to handover termination letters to hundreds of expat teachers and staff this month, the sources in the ministry revealed.

The employees who would be released this year include supervisors, Heads of Departments, whose service spans 34 years.

The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that no exceptions would be made, and termination would include Syrian teachers who had been earlier exempted due to the situation in their home country.

According to the sources, the teachers to be terminated would include teachers of Islamic and Computer Studies, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arabic and English languages in both intermediate and secondary stages.
