The Kuwaiti Cabinet, led by HH Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the cabinet members held an extraordinary meeting to follow-up the consequences of Russia-Ukraine military confrontation on all levels to ensure the security and provision of all necessary needs to expats and nationals in the country.

A presentation by Foreign Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Defense Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah speaking on the international developments politically, emphasized on Kuwait’s firm and principled stance rejecting use of force of menacing to use it against countries.

He further said that Kuwait is following with great concern and regret, he deteriorating situations and mounting tension in Ukraine. 

Kuwait emphasized that it is vital to adhere to the principles of international law and the UN Charter that governs ties amongst states, based on respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and the principle of good neighbourliness, and resolving disputes in a peaceful manner.

Kuwait emphasized the need to respect Ukraine’s independence and confirmed its complete support to all global efforts aimed at de-escalation, and settling of international disputes in a peaceful manner and taking necessary measures to protect civilians and ensure their safety.

Further, Sheikh Ahmad Nasser explained measures taken by the Foreign Ministry to follow up on the crisis and take necessary measures to mitigate any possible impacts in this regard.
