The aviation authorities in Kuwait expects at least 6 million travellers to use the main airport of the country this summer.
According to Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the expected breakdown is that 2.9million passengers will depart from Kuwait Airport and 3 million others will arrive.
Starting 1st June, until 30th September, about 43,156 flights will be operational at the airport for arrival and departure flights, the DGCA confirmed.
The DGCA spokesman Saad Al Ottaibi said “The DGCA has requested all airlines and ground service companies to raise readiness levels an dincrease the numbers of their staff to improve services provided for passengers and upgrade operation efficiency during the summer season,”.
Out of total population of 4.6 million people in Kuwait, there are a large community of migrant workers in the country.
