Kuwait launched the second phase of Covid-19 field vaccination campaign on 9th May for workers at shopping malls in the country.
A Kuwait Health Ministry spokesperson who spoke to the press said that this campaign is part of the efforts by the ministry to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.
The field vaccination campaign began at Farwaniya Governorate’s Avenues Mall, the largest shopping mall in Kuwait, on 9th May, wherein the first dose was administered to about 10,000 mall workers.
In the coming days, the vaccine will also be provided for workers in other commercial complexes in the country.
During the first phase of the field vaccination campaign, more than 34,758 employees who had direct contact with the public received the vaccine through this service, and they are from several bodies such as mosques, cooperative societies, food factories, banking sector, cinemas and others.
