Kuwait eases covid-19 restrictions, ban on commercial activities lifted

Kuwait has announced that all commercial activities can be resumed without any restrictions, and the ban on all commercial activities have been lifted from 8pm on 27th July. 

This follows a significant decrease in the number of fresh coronavirus cases. 

The state’s cabinet said that its ban on commercial activities would be lifted from 8pm on 27th July.  

Children’s summer clubs will get operational and will reopen from 1st September. 

But, gatherings, including weddings, conferences and social events will remain suspended until further notice.  

Further updates to restrictions have been announced regarding movement and access restrictions.  

Fully-vaccinated residents and nationals will be allowed entry to all areas. However, those who are yet to be vaccinated will be allowed entry only to pharmacies, food markets, cooperative societies, hospitals, government buildings and private medical centres.
