Flight services between Kuwait Airport & UK to resume next Thursday

15 June 2021

The Deputy Director-General for Planning and Projects Affairs and spokesman of the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Saad Al-Otaibi announced that the first flight of Kuwait Airways from Kuwait International Airport to the United Kingdom will take off next Thursday.

This will be followed by the second flight from Jazeera Airways, and both flights will return the same day.

The flights will operate once a week. The resumption of services follows the Cabinet decision on Sunday. The flights to London were suspended since 24th December last year due to health conditions and the emergence of the mutated virus in the UK.

With more people in Kuwait getting vaccinated against the virus, and with every dose, Kuwait is slowly getting back to normalcy.

The announcement of third phase of vaccination with 300,000 doses is a promising matter and it pushes towards return of passenger movement at the airport.
