The proposed law will be submitted to Kuwait’s Emir, who has the power to debate and approve it and bring it into effect.

In recent weeks Kuwait has implemented several precautionary measures to contain the spread of virus, including halting flights with outside world, extending two weeks holiday to all employees, shutting down of commercial complexes, malls, public markets and educational institutions, except food supply outlets.
