Kuwait has confirmed 112 fresh cases of novel coronavirus, with total overall infections in the country at 855, including a death, the health official revealed today.
The latest cases are that one patient who had a recent travel history to France, and the 105 others were people who were in contact with previously infected people, said the spokesman for Health Ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad. Six other cases are still under investigations.
There are 21 patients staying in intensive care units, seven of them in critical condition. There have been six recoveries lately, making the total recoveries in the country to 111. Kuwaiti government has further tightened its measures from early this week to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
This include complete lockdown of two populous areas, expansion of night-time curfew in other areas and extending closure of all state institutions.
