Closure of public sectors in Kuwait extended till 25th April

07 April 2020

The Kuwait government has further extended the closure of all public sector institutions in Kuwait until 25th April. The state organizations were supposed to complete their lockdown this week and resume work on 12th April, Sunday.

The two-week extension forms a part of the government’s intensified efforts and precautionary measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The Cabinet also extended the curfew across the country from 5pm to 6am until further notice since Monday.

Further the areas of Mahboula and Jleeb Al Shuyokh have been placed under complete lockdown for two weeks from Monday night. All these measures come as Kuwait reports a total of 109 new cases of the novel coronavirus, making the total infections in the country to 665, including one death.
