Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS) has sent first scientific experiment to the International Space Station.

The experiment was designed by four Kuwaiti students, who were chosen after a competition held by the Scientific Centre, in support of the KFAS.

The Scientific Centre and the Orbital Space (a UAE company that provides access to space through CubeSat technology) have coordinated with NASA to help the students, in the field of space science, to fulfil their dream and launch the experiment.

Rana Al Nibari, Director-General of the Scientific Centre of KFAS, described the experiment, as a “historic achievement for Kuwait.”

Meanwhile, Alina Romanowski, the US ambassador to Kuwait, congratulated the students and said, “Nasa’s launch of a scientific experiment in Kuwait is an achievement and a great example of cooperation between the United States and Kuwait in the field of science.”
