The SHOW - a tribute to ABBA

LAPA & Shift Ventures has organized ‘THE SHOW: A TRIBUTE TO ABBA’, presented by Gramophone at Al Shaheed Park on 15-Feb-2020. There will also a Meet and greet session on 14th February.

THE SHOW was produced in Denmark in 2001, with band members from Sweden, and had an impressive 15-year run of worldwide success, with nearly 700 concerts in 40 countries and more than 2 million tickets sold. THE SHOW created renewed success for ABBA’s original music and has taken the position as the best ABBA tribute show in the world according to the Official International ABBA Fan Club.

‘The Show – The Music of ABBA’, lets the audience follow ABBA from before they won the Eurovision to their massive international success. The music in the show is performed by the Swedish Band Waterloo and accompanied by the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra (LSRO), who has rocked arenas around the world since forming in 2018.

Directed by musical director Matthew Freeman, several of the original ABBA musicians appear as guest performers including the legendary saxophone player Ulf Andersson who toured with the original ABBA and co-wrote some of ABBA's famous hits.

Fans can expect ABBA’s greatest hits: Waterloo, SOS, Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Money Money Money, Knowing Me Knowing You, sprinkled with several surprises from ABBA’s vast catalogue.
