The General Fire Force reported that its teams addressed 92 incidents yesterday evening amid the rainy conditions across several regions of the country, with no reported injuries.

In a press statement to the Public Relations and Media Department today, the Fire Department stated, “The incidents comprised 33 cases of water extraction from basements due to excessive rainwater, along with 52 instances of towing vehicles stranded on flooded roads and rescuing individuals trapped within them in various regions.” Additionally, two reports of vehicle breakdowns and tent sinking on Failaka Island were resolved, with the rescue of 5 individuals. Furthermore, the teams handled 5 reports of ground cable fires, emphasizing that “no injuries were reported.”

The Fire Department urged citizens and residents to stay indoors during rainfall unless absolutely necessary and encouraged them to promptly dial the emergency phone number 112 when in need of assistance.

In related news, the Meteorological Department issued a cautionary statement, alerting that the country is currently experiencing sporadic rain, which may be thundery and heavy in certain regions. This weather phenomenon is coupled with active winds that stir up dust, resulting in diminished horizontal visibility and elevated sea waves.

The advisory from the Meteorological Department is valid for 12 hours, concluding at 9:00 PM.

Additionally, the Meteorological Department anticipates that the maximum temperature at Kuwait International Airport will reach 28 degrees Celsius.
