Average Kuwaiti family income approx KD 4,000 per month

Acting Director-General of the Central Department of Statistics, Mania Al-Qabandi, announced that the average monthly income of a Kuwaiti family in 2021, without calculating the rental value, was 3,994.9 dinars (about 13 thousand dollars), compared to 3,351 dinars (about 10.9 thousand dollars), an increase of 2.2 percent compared to in the Income and Expenditure Survey 2013.

Al-Qabandi said in a press statement on the sidelines of the conference “Release of the Results of the Expenditure and Income Survey for the Year 2021” that the average monthly income of a non-Kuwaiti family in 2021, without calculating the rental value, was 939.8 dinars “about 3 thousand dollars” compared to 1,131.5 dinars “about 3.7 thousand dollars,” with an increase of 2.3 percent compared to the Income and Expenditure Survey in 2013.

The Central Statistical Administration has completed the Household Income and Expenditure Survey Project 2019-2021 in cooperation and partnership with the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development and the Office of the United Nations Development Program

The average monthly expenditure of a Kuwaiti family in 2021, without calculating the rental value, amounted to 3,296.6 Kuwaiti dinars (about 10.8 thousand US dollars), an increase of 5.6 percent compared to the income and expenditure survey in 2013, while the average monthly expenditure of a Kuwaiti family, with calculating the rental value 4138.8 dinars (about 13.5 thousand dollars).

The average monthly expenditure of a non-Kuwaiti family in 2021, without calculating the rental value, amounted to 1071.3 dinars (about 3.5 thousand dollars), an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the income and expenditure survey in 2013, while the average monthly expenditure of a non-Kuwaiti family with calculating the value of rent is 1071.3 dinars, “about 3.5 thousand dollars,” the sources added.
