Kuwait has recently launched mobile inoculation units targeting workers in mosques and in different commercial activities having direct contacts with the general public.
Around 40,000 people in Kuwait have received the vaccine against COVID-19 over the past 10 days through mobile inoculation campaigns, part of the country’s stepped-up inoculation efforts, according to local media.
According to a health ministry official, around 94 per cent of workers at the cooperative societies in the country have received the jabs however he did not disclose the total number of those workers.
Meanwhile, around 5,000 workers in mosques have been vaccinated as well as 3,000 banking employees, added Dr Dina Al Dabeeb, the head of the Health Ministry’s Central Directorate for Primary Health Care.
“Workers at markets, commercial complexes, factories and companies of consumer and food products will be vaccinated in the coming period,” she said.
