The Kuwaiti Directorate-General of Civil Aviation has instructed airlines in the country to regulate fees for the coronavirus-detecting PCR tests to be paid by travellers arriving in Kuwait, Al Rai has reported.
This move complies with a recent government decision. Sources confirmed that discussions between the concerned authorities led to an agreement on an initial price of KD 25 for one test.
This means that the total fee to be borne by each arrival will stand at KD50, representing the cost of two tests - the first to be conducted on arrival and the second seven days later.
Sources said this amount will be added to the price of the ticket for those travelling to Kuwait.
