Kuwait signs coronavirus vaccine deal with international organization(GAVI) to provide the country with enough COVID-19 vaccines

Kuwait has secured an agreement with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) to provide the country with an enough COVID-19 vaccine for 800,000 people once available.
According to national daily Kuwait Times reports, Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah said the government will cover 50 percent of the country’s vaccine needs once the second shipment arrives from manufacturing companies working with GAVI.
He said 145 companies are competing in the race to create a vaccine, and that Kuwait has reached out to five firms for the supply.
