Tahira Khander, Deputy Director General of Bangladesh Airlines, has announced that flights between Kuwait and Dhaka will resume on Tuesday August 4.
Khander told the Dhaka Tribune,“We have decided to run one weekly commercial flight between Kuwait and Dhaka every Tuesday.”
Kuwait is the fourth international country that Bangladesh Airlines is flying to, including London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, nearly 3 months after the airlines halted commercial flights.
The Kuwait International Airport is set to begin operations on August 1 at a 30 per cent capacity. In addition, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation issued health restrictions for passengers travelling to and from Kuwait.
