Kuwait approves emergency use of Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine

The Health Ministry in Kuwait has approved emergency use of Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine against coronavirus.

A joint committee of the medicine registration and supervision department, together with the public health department has approved emergency use of the vaccine, said the Assistant Undersecretary for Pharmaceutical and Food Supervision, Abdullah Al-Bader, in its statement.

The decision by the committee comes after a thorough review of the safety and quality specifications of the vaccine.

The committee also reviewed results of clinical trials.

The Health Ministry will continue to follow the safety of the vaccine after it has approved its emergency use for wellbeing of the public.
