Marina Mall
Marina World, the second largest shopping and entertainment complex in Kuwait, is located along the beachfront in the shopping district of Salmiya. The complex opened in phases, with the first phase unveiled in November 2002, the second phase of the complex opened in early 2004, and the final phase opening towards the end of 2005. Designed in a beautiful Spanish design, the Marina Mall’s exterior is characterized by distinct red, blue and biege paint and red roof tiles. The circular Central Plaza is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and Starbucks Coffee and Le Notre Restaurant. A spectacular glass fountain adorns the centerpiece of the plaza, and the area is topped with one of the largest glass domes in the Middle East, with a sail that automatically moves in the direction of the sun. The Marina mall has a wide range of opulent shops, which includes high-end clothing shops. Few leading stores and restaurants in the Mall are – Zara, Virgin, River Island, H & M Boots, Massimo Dutti, Athlete’s Foot, Limited Too, Jade, Polo, Echo, Nvosho, Boss, Body Shop, Deisal, FCUK, Ecco shoes, Harley Davidson, Hallmark, Persona, Aldo, MAC, Vavavoom. Among the range of restaurants are the Starbucks, Yo Sushi, Paul, Waterlemon, Lenotre, Cinnobun, Yummy vummi Moreli’s Gelato. The mall is packed during late evenings, as Kuwaitis love spending their evenings with coffee at Starbucks or browsing for music at the Virgin Superstore.
