Private Sectors should be involved in housing projects, says Minister
The State Minister for Housing Affairs, Abdelwahid Al-Awadhi, has announced that involving the private sector in housing projects in Kuwait will help in introducing a new pattern of residential units.
Al-Awadhi, the acting State Minister for National Assembly Affairs and Communications Minister, following a meeting with the Parliamentary Affairs committee suggested giving a chance to the private sector to come up with new designs for housing units, particularly at a time when the Housing Affairs Authority is on its way to implement giant residential projects.
Pointing out the importance of involving the private sector in carrying out residential projects in the country through a new law that supports implementation of such projects, particularly, the ones in integral cities such as Sabah Al-ahmad, Jaber Al-Ahmad, Mutla’a and Khiran, he said, it has been much asserted by everyone.
The Minister highlighted the importance of estimating the actual cost of executing these projects so as to bring about an agreement to be met with by the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Assembly.
