Kuwait plans mega projects worth billions in next four years
Kuwait plans to adopt US$100bn plan to develop mega projects over the next four years.
As per the report, the plan was authorized by the Kuwaiti government in Parliament last week to boost the non-oil private sector economy and support the construction sector.
The funding will be used to develop the new Silk City business hub at an estimated cost of USD77bn, and for upgrading the energy grid of the country and the construction of 25kms container harbour.
It is also inclusive of a railway and metro system, while there are other new cities and additional spending on infrastructure, particularly in health and education.
