The Bobyan Island development dream has now come closer to reality with the announcement of completion around the corner.
The project is envisioned to revolutionize Kuwait into a financial and commercial center, said Eng. Ghalib Al-Shimmary, the Project Supervisor.
The steel bridge erected by the Ministry of Public Works will be removed once the venture is completed. The bridge was erected to connect the island to the main land.
Being completely made of steel and sands, and standing tall at 6 meters high from sea level is a kilometre long over ‘Al-Sabiya Khor’. This will be used by contract companies to transport necessary equipment to the island.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 2011.
