Officials to look into property issues
The Municipal Council Member, Faraz al-Mutairi, has revealed that he had discussed with Dr Fadhel Safar, the Minister of Public Works and Municipality, the failures by the ministry in issuing important realty documents to citizens.
Al-Mutairi said that Safar is committed to solve the issue, which is now a hindrance for the property owners in the area. The proposal from the council members in this matter needs to be presented so that it could be studied by the committee before being endorsed.
According to Al-Mutairi, the proposal calls for registering documents issued in the past, which includes several violations. Al-Mutairi said that the meeting included discussion about the problems that continued to persist in few areas of Kuwait such as Sawaber, Hasawi, Jleeb and Al-Shuyoukh.
The Cabinet has already formed a committee that will look into the situation in these areas, he said.
