New pay-scale for teachers early next year
The new pay-scale for teachers in Kuwait will be implemented during beginning of 2012, said Minister of Education and Higher Education Ahmad Al-Mulaifi.
The government will adhere to decisions issued by Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the National Assembly, irrespective of whether it is the revised pay scale or the annual bonus system. The annual bonus system is likely to be implemented early next year, he said.
Teachers can expect a maximum annual bonus worth KD8000, based on their performance, attendance rate, number of classes they attend and their educational achievements, the Minister noted.
The Ministry clarified that all, including GCC nationals, will be granted rights approved by the CSC.
