Kuwait to set up new authority for recruitment of foreign workers
Kuwait will shortly establish an authority to regulate the foreign labour market and ensure that the new labour law is implemented.
The new Labour Force Public Authority in Kuwait will be responsible for recruitment of foreign expatriates and monitoring the job market.
The new authority will also take up the responsibilities of labour section of the Social Affairs and Labour Ministry.
The new public authority will be a totally independent body which will be housed in a new building in Kuwait City.
The Undersecretary said that work on the building has already been completed and the authority is likely to begin work in three months.
