Single constituency proposed in Kuwait
MP Saadoun Al-Otaibi has presented a proposal suggesting electoral constituencies be merged into a single entity, out of which, 50 members will win the power.
Voters will be allowed to vote for four candidates. The proposal also said that the proposed constituency should have one or more committees that work on one schedule. The members for these committees should be appointed on the basis of a decision by Ministry of Interior.
Further, the lawmaker’s proposal says that the first 50 MPs who win the majority of votes will be elected as representatives to the Parliament.
