No more paper salary certificates in Kuwait
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour in Kuwait has revealed that paper salary certificates will no longer be required for any transactions, effective August, due to the implementation of an automated system, which links banks with different government departments.
This is being done to curb the forgery of salary certificates, which is rampant in Kuwait off-late. The transactions will be process through the internet, to eliminate the use of forged salary certificates.
Citizens and residents no longer need to present paper salary certificates for obtaining any official documents from ministries or other government departments, as these institutions can easily verify the actual salaries of applicants through automated systems, the sources reveal.
According to sources, the ministry devised the system after the discovery of thousands of forged salary certificates, apart from the loss of data of about 20,000 labourers from the Ministry’s records and computers.
