Majority of Kuwait national workforce is in the banking sector
About 52 percent of the total national workforce in Kuwait is working in the banking sector, revealed the Kuwaiti Banks Association (KBA).
The KBA in its statement to the press said that the banking sector has so far maintained the highest proportion of national employment, in comparison to other sectors of the Kuwaiti labour market. This is prior to the issuance of the law supporting the national labour to work in non-governmental institutions.
The statement further said that the banks have been developing and implementing training programs prepared to the best professional levels to improve efficiency of Kuwaiti staffers.
This emphasizes the commitment by banks to provide the national workforce with best career environment, offering privileges that are unmatched to any other employment sectors in the country.
The Kuwaiti banks have contributed to nearly KD80mn to back the national employment support program, going by the law, which is one of the highest ratios in the sector.
