Kuwait MP suggests new employment strategy
MP Musallem Al-Barrak has suggested a new strategy of allocating certain percentage of job vacancies in both private and public sectors, to sons of Kuwaiti women, who are wedded to non-Kuwaiti men.
Al-Barrak in his proposal, said that these individuals should be appointed in permanent public sector positions or in temporary positions, on the basis of their qualifications and abilities, so as to effectively make use of their experience.
He also suggested that the same proposal be made applicable by the Executive Committee of the Ministry of Interior on illegal residents for sons of Kuwaiti wives or former wives of bedoon men.
The MP has urged the committee that a criminal record should be put on individuals’ personal files only after obtaining clear proof about the matter.
