Kuwaiti Citizens seeking public sector jobs can get enrolled in CSC
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has urged all citizens seeking jobs in the public sector to enroll themselves between the 15th and 29th August 2008.
The Manager of Citizens Services and Public Relations Department, CSC, Ratib Al-Oraifan, in a press statement, mentioned that all applicants must be above 18 years of age, and must have enrolled themselves as job seekers at the Public Authority for Social Security (PASS) or should be studying in school or university.
People holding a secondary school leaving certificate must have completed a minimum of one year after resigning from their last government job. The applicants are required to bring along their identity cards and copies of certificates.
CSC is electronically linked to the Kuwait University, Public Authority of Applied Education and Training (PAAET), PASS and Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) and the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education to check the validity of their documents.
The Commission will forward the certificates issued by private institutes to PAAET for attestation, and in case that does not attest, the applicant will lose the privilege of the certificate.
Applicants are required to submit their applications at the new building of the commission at Block B in Al-Shuwaikh, while citizens with special needs can submit applications at the Citizens’ Services and Public Relations Department at CSC.
Citizens can also dial 133 or log on to the official website of the commission at www.csc.net.kw for more details and timings. Citizens will be notified about the appointment for interview. The Deputy General Manager of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Hammed Al-Omar, said that the chamber will give priority to young manpower in the country.
He also indicated that KCCI, together with Government Manpower Restructuring Program (GMRP) plans to hold jobs exhibition during the 26th to 30th October 2008 and the exhibition will provide plenty of job opportunities to youth. This is aimed towards reducing the unemployment rate in the country.
