Government urged to adopt National Employment Plan
The Committee responsible for organizing Expatriate Workers Affairs will conduct a meeting tomorrow, headed by the Minister for Social Affairs and Labor, Jamal Shehab. The officials will discuss regarding alternative options to the current sponsor system currently in place.
MP Adel Al-Sarawi has requested the government to adopt a five-year National Employment Plan to help Kuwaiti citizens who graduate from colleges to gain suitable jobs. The MP looks for more investment in the field of employment, as it would interrupt the development plans of the government, if not tackled properly.
Al-Sarawi wondered the rate at which unemployment has increased in the country, despite huge financial surplus which the country has gathered.
