Salary increase for State employees to be implemented on 25th February
HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has announced that the increase in salaries for state employees would be implemented on 25th February, during the Kuwaiti celebrations of National and Liberations Days.
This decision was announced during a luncheon held by the National Assembly Speaker, Jassem Al-Khorafi for honoring Syrian People’s Council.
H.H. Sheikh Nasser mentioned that the increase in salaries would become effective as scheduled, and has urged not to fuel up the issue, and give the government enough time for a thorough study.
The wages and incentives in the State of Kuwait were analyzed by officials from Kuwait Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the World Bank (WB). The wages and incentives have been studied for the past three months, and were being compared to international salaries and incentives.
The participants who conducted the study, included, Faisal Al-Hajji, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Mustafa Al-Shemali, the Kuwaiti Finance Minister, and officials from CSC, WB and the public institute for social security.
The participants were pleased with the analysis, and have called for wage revision every three to five years, revealed the statement.
