Frontline health workers in Kuwait will not be obliged to get a vaccine against the coronavirus after its approval and arrival in the country, according to Al Qabas newspaper reports.
A plan is being worked out regarding the categories targeted with receiving the approved vaccine in the initial stage after its delivery, the newspaper reported, citing government sources.
“It is unlikely that medical and nursing teams will be obliged to receive it,” the source added, confirming that the shots will be optional for all categories.
The Health Ministry is considering the list of categories to be given the priority in getting the vaccine including the old people, the frontline health workers, and people with special needs.
