Tareq Rajab Museum
The Tareq Rajab collection is the private collection of antiquities by Kuwait’s first Minister and his wife, which include Islamic Arts, Treasures of Ceramics, Gold and Silver jewelry, metal and glass works, English costumes, costumes of sheikhs and shepherds, Bahraini pearls, manuscripts, masonry, and musical instruments. In 1980, Tareq Rajab decided to exhibit his collection, which was more than 30,000 items of Islamic treasures. At present, the Museum displays more than 10,000 items to the public.

Unveiled in 1980, the museum is divided into two main areas – Area (A) and Area (B). Each shows a collection of beautifully handmade objects dated back to 250 years. There are the beautiful embroideries, weaves and costumes collected from several regions across the world, including Palestine, Afghanistan, Iran and Uzbek. The jewelry section includes gold and silver ornaments from Thailand, China, Ethiopia and other countries.
