The Avenues in Kuwait welcomes 42million visitors last year

About 42million visitors thronged The Avenues mall in the year 2013, marking 75 percent increase in comparison to just 24million visitors in 2012.

The Avenues is one of the largest shopping centres in Kuwait, and boasts of unique architectural design which brings together several architectural schools giving a distinct identity to each district, drawing inspiration from some of the oldest cities in the world.

It offers visitors a unique shopping experience, with a range of renowned brands, entertainment centres and restaurants, spread over 270,000 sqm area. It also houses 800 retail units and multi-level parking lot, with capacity to house about 10,000 vehicles.

The Avenues is home to renowned local and international brands in seven districts, namely, ‘1st Avenue’, ‘2nd Avenue’, ‘Grand Avenue’, ‘Prestige’, ‘SoKu’, ‘The Mall’ and ‘The Souk’.

The Avenues has maintained considerable record of achievements this year, and has won three prestigious awards of international recognition this year in areas like building and construction, architectural finesse and detailed design. Among the awards received are MEED Quality Awards for Project, Arab Town Organization Award and 2013 Gold Award in MENA Shopping Centre.

The Avenues was granted the awards for its excellence and recognition in establishing new standards for classical and contemporary architecture, and for repositioning it as the largest and trendiest shopping and leisure destination in the region.
