Kuwait in Dubai Expo strengthens UAE, Kuwait ties

The second Kuwait in Dubai week exhibition was held from 4th to 6th November at the Ritz Carlton, DIFC, in the presence of Kuwaiti and Emirati officials.

The exhibition featured more than 50 Kuwaiti and 20 Emirati stalls, helping individuals and companies to know more about Kuwaiti companies and official organizations and vice versa. The exhibition included cultural, educational, industrial, economic, medical, tourism and media organisations.

The exhibition was held under the patronage of Hamadan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Finance Ministry, and was opened in the presence of Shaikh Ahmad bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Department of Civil Aviation, CEO of Emirates Group and Chairman of Dubai World, Shaikh Mohammad Al Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of Health of Kuwait and Tarik Khalid Al Hamad, Kuwaiti Consul General in Dubai and Northern Emirates.

The exhibiting outlets included The Media Ministry of Kuwait, Ministry of Interior, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, National Bank of Kuwait, among others. Their outlets displayed activities and services in their stalls through various brochure, booklets and models. Such events, further deepen the relations and ties between UAE and Kuwait, and exhibitions of this kind should also be held in Kuwait, said Shaikh Ahmad. He further said that the Dubai Investment Office, Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Kuwait Investment Office are among the five sovereign wealth funds in the world, so any collaboration between them will create economic success.

The exhibition is a good place to exchange views on developments in the economic environment and open fresh horizons for trade and economic ties between the two nations and to go along with the co-operation between the two governments, Al Hamad said.
