Second phase of Avenues mega shopping mall unveiled

H H Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, together with several senior officials and ministers unveiled the second phase of Avenues, the mega shopping mall, this week.

After H.H. the Prime Ministerís touring of the project, Mohammad Abdelaziz Al-Shayaa, the Chairman of Al-Mabanee Company, the project contractor, made a detailed presentation of the project and its economic feasibility.

Sheikh Jaber appreciated the private sectorís contribution to the state development and national economy.

Sheikh Jaber also highlighted that his government is totally committed towards supporting private sector to help increase its share in the national economy, and added that the government will not spare any effort in facilitating and expanding the involvement of private sector in implementation of the state development plan.

Mabanee Real Estae Company posted KD21.4million in profits earning 34.4fils per share. This marks 29% increase over the KD16.5mn and 27fils posted by the company for the same period last year. The Board of Directors of the company have already approved the companyís financial statement for the third quarter of the current financial year.

Located in the Al-Rai Industrial area along the Fifth Ring Road, the Avenues mall is the largest mall and shopping centre in Kuwait, and is the best destination for leisure shopping, with several famous shopping boutiques to its credit.
