Kuwait International Airport records 6% growth in passenger numbers

The total passenger numbers across the Kuwait International Airport have grown 6 percent this September, amounting to total of 813962, in comparison to 767080 passengers in September 2011, revealed latest report by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The monthly statistics data by the department revealed that the number of incoming passengers were 485021 in September, in comparison to just 331820 passengers during the same month in 2011. However, the departing passengers amounted to 328941, while the figures touched 331820 during the corresponding period in September 2011.

The total number of flights to and from Kuwait International Airport was a total of 7,335 in September, in comparison to 7,232 trips in September 2011.

The number of commercial flights arriving and departing touched 6,657 last September, in comparison to just 6,290 trips in September last year. As for cargo traffic, the DGCA reported that total freight weighed was 14.152,581mn kg, in comparison to 15.463,548mn kg in September 2011.
