Family visit visas to be restricted to spouse, children

Kuwait will restrict family visit visas to spouse and children of the applicant, the Interior Ministry revealed.

The Ministry has informed all immigration directorates to limit the family visit visa applications by expatriates in Kuwait to their spouse and children, and not to consider the relatives applications.

This ban is applicable to both Arab and non-Arab nationalities.

Such a decision has been taken based on the difficult living and security situations in some countries.

Further, the immigration directorates have received thousands of family visit applications to bring in fathers, sisters, mothers and brothers, which has resulted in excess of such applications. The ban implies that these applications will be discarded.
