60 percent growth in hotel occupancy rates last year in Kuwait

Kuwait has witnessed a 60 percent growth in hotel occupancy in December 2011, marking a six point increase, a specialized economic report said.

The report issued by the Tameer Real Estate Investment Company revealed that the average daily price of the room dropped to 6.5percent in December, touching KD59.2.

Overall the performance of hotels in Kuwait during 2011 grew by 62 percent, in comparison to 2010, but, the room revenue fell to KD60.2 daily.
