Opening of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium emphasized

The Commission on Population and Urban Development emphasized that it is ready to assist those involved in the project of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium to overcome any hurdles that hampers the opening of the Stadium.

A statement issued by the Supreme Council for Planning, revealed that the Commission, under the Chairmanship of Saleh Al-Fadhalah, including representatives of Public Authority for Youth and Sports, gathered last week to discuss the project, in the presence of Minister of Public Works and Minister of Development and Planning, Dr. Fadhel Safar.

According to the statement, the latest developments on the project, and the implementation difficulties of the project, were discussed in the meeting. They confirmed that they will overcome all obstacles, so as to open the stadium by the end of this year.

Located in Al-Ardhiyah, the stadium was established in 2009, and has the capacity to seat 68,000 spectators. It is constructed in four levels, with 54 corporate boxes, and 6000 car parking.
