Avenues Mall turning into top shopping and leisure destination
The Avenues Mall recorded more than 24 million visitors, including nationals, tourists and expatriates in 2011, showing a marked 8percent growth, in comparison to the 2010 figures.
During a recent press release, the management of The Avenues, mentioned that the mall is the topmost shopping and leisure destination in Kuwait, both in terms of visitor numbers and retail outlets (exceeding 400 shops), apart from cafes, restaurants, and other leisure units.
The Avenues management said that it conducts an annual analysis on the purchase patterns of the mall's visitors, their requirements and priorities.
This indicates that The Avenues is the best shopping mall for families and friends to get together, wherein the visitors stay at the mall for more than two hours each time they visit. The management takes such outcomes into consideration, when planning year-round activities and services offered to the visitors.
The Avenues is planning further expansion, scheduled to be inaugurated by September 2012, introducing a new concept to shopping. This new expansion stretches to more than 450,000 sqm of space, of which, 95,000 sqm is leasable floor space. This includes nearly 400 additional units, spread across various districts, whose architecture reflects the ambience and spirit of world’s most glamorous cities, such as New York and Paris, with exquisite blend of luxury shopping and delectable international cuisine.
