Expo City announces real estate exhibition in Kuwait

Kuwait International Property Show will be held between 22nd and 25th May at the Regency Kuwait Hotel, involving participation of 20 local and foreign real estate developers, announced Expo City.

The event is being held when the local real estate market is facing challenges as there are little investment opportunities due to the current political and economic upheavals in the region, said Ihab Jaber, the CEO of Expo City.

He further mentioned that the financial difficulties add to the strain of real estate market, and therefore, the exhibition will throw light on the scope of investment in projects that are under the strict control of Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Municipality.

Among the exhibits are the tourist projects, villas and apartments in several Arab and foreign nations suiting the condition of the present market. All the exhibits have been thoroughly verified by various government bodies to ensure its authenticity and viability, Jaber confirmed.

The event will be held just after the formation of a new government in Kuwait and during the beginning of second year of the USD multi-billion development plan. The event is hoped to draw in huge number of the investors. The financial results of 2010 actually indicate that there has been considerable growth of investors in real estate sector and banks, following two years of loss making, which by itself indicates recovery of the market, Jaber pointed out.
